It’s easy at the moment to get caught up in the panic and fear of what is going on globally with the Coronavirus pandemic. 🦠
Those of you in the Manifestation Magic community will know how important it is to keep your energy positive and your vibrations high. It can, however, be challenging to do when you are freaking out, stockpiling groceries, and every news alert is another warning or update on the pandemic.
Okay. Just breathe. 💆🏼♀️
I want to remind you today about the importance of keeping your immune system healthy with the carefully directed energy of your thoughts.
I want to remind you that stress and fear based emotions only serve to lower your immunity and make you more susceptible to getting sick. 😷
Your thoughts 💭 do affect your immune system. The mind-body connection is real. It is being studied by scientists 👨🏻🔬 all the time, and their results are getting more and more tangible as research begins to unravel the connection between your brain 🧠 and emotional state and your health.
Our immune system is made up of organs, tissues, cells and cell products that work together to protect us against viruses, unhealthy bacteria, fungi, and parasites and fight harmful substances such as the pathogens that cause infection and disease.
The immune system consists of a complex network of billions of cells traveling through the bloodstream. These cells defend our bodies against antigens such as bacteria, viruses and cancerous cells. The main types of immune cells are white blood cells.
Simply put, when we are stressed for long periods of time, the way that our immune system naturally functions is suppressed, which means we become more susceptible to illness. Stress reduces our immune system’s ability to fight off infection or disease.
When we’re stressed, the immune system’s ability to fight off antigens is reduced. That is why we are more susceptible to infections.
When stress is your default, high levels of the stress hormone cortisol circulate in the blood for extended periods of time. That creates chaos in your body.
Cortisol can suppress the smooth operation of your digestive system, create inflammatory conditions and lower your immunity overall.
Changing your thinking habits can greatly reduce your stress levels. Experiencing low vibrational emotions like fear, anger, stress and worry only serves to disturb your thoughts, your hormones and lowers your immunity.
Creating and maintaining healthy balance within the systems of your body relies on your healthy perspective of life.
That doesn’t mean that you cannot feel an appropriate response to what’s happening in the world. Things do feel scary at the moment for many of us.
There is uncertainty around this pandemic and how it will play out. Fear is one of our oldest survival mechanisms. It helps us to avoid danger in the moment and in the future.
The problem is that feeling afraid or anxious does not always help us to survive, sometimes it makes things worse.
If our wellbeing is not in immediate danger, we do not need to feed a cycle of fearful thinking or anxiety, because all that does is weaken us.
During this period of self-isolation and quarantine for much of the world, we do not need to be in a constant state of fear. We can rationalize certain things, like for example the fact that if we are staying away from others and practicing good hygiene we are likely to remain well.
So instead of endlessly worrying about whether or not you may get sick, take a deep breath, pause and remember that you can control much of your own health yourself.
Feeling anxious about the uncertainty of things will create negativity, but remembering that you are taking care of your health, washing your hands 🤲🏽 and remaining calm will lead you towards positivity. Your brain will begin to move more naturally in the direction of positivity once you realize how much better it feels.
In other words, teach your body to relax rather than to stress. When stress is the norm, the body forgets how it feels to be relaxed and instead only remembers how to be stressed.
Positive emotions enhance the immune system by increasing the immune cells that respond to an invasion by foreign viruses or bacteria.
Do things that promote a harmonious state within your body. When you have heart-mind coherence that means your body is working synergistically and you are in alignment.
Anxiety prevention strategies include:
• Respiratory – More rhythmic breathing
• Cardiovascular – Slowing your heart rate ❤️
• Immune – Releasing more white cells
• Lymphatic – Better circulation
• Endocrine – Balances hormonal levels
• Digestive- Allowing the body to digest and rest
Making the effort to prioritize these behaviors at all times but above all now during the coronavirus crisis will have an incredible effect on your psychological, emotional and physical well being as well as boosting your immune system.
